 On January 21, the drawing ceremony of the Azerbaijan Basketball Cup (2025) took place in the conference hall of the Baku Sports Palace. According to the results of the lottery, the matches "Absheron"-"Guba", "Ganja"-"Ordu", "Lankaran"-NTD, "Sumgait"-"Neftchi" will be held in the 1/8 final stage. In the 1/8 final pairs, which will be played on January 28-29, the clubs whose names are listed first based on the draw will be the hosts. In the 1/4 finals, the winner of the pair "Absheron"-"Guba" with "Nakhchivan", the winner of the pair "Ganja"-"Ordu" with "Sarhadchi", the winner of the pair "Lenkoran"-NTD with "Sheki", "Sumgait"-" The winner of the "Neftchi" pair will face "Sabah". The rules of the cup include the presence of 2 local basketball players on the field and the determination of the results of all meetings by one game. Note that unlike the 1/8 finals, the 1/4 finals, semi-finals and finals will take place in Baku

 The last games of the 11th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) were held on January 18 and 19. On January 18, two games of "A" group and one of "B" group took place at "Sarhadchi" Sports Center. NTD-"Absheron" (87-77), "Nakhchivan"-"Neftchi" (63-73), "Ordu"-"Sumgait" (89-82). On January 19, the 11th round was concluded with two games of "B" group held in the regions. "Sheki"-"Guba" (78-56), "Lankaran"-"Ganja" (66-79). It should be noted that after 11 rounds, "Sabah" is leading the "A" group, and "Sheki" is leading the "B" group.
