The basketball festival has started in Sumgait

  On November 17, the opening game of the 4th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) and the second game of the day took place at the Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex. In the opening game, Khachmaz representative met with "NTD-INDIGO" and "Khazri" club. "NTD-INDIGO", which started the game better, was happy with the 86-71 victory over its opponent. The most productive basketball players: "NTD-INDIGO" (Brandon Watkins - 22 points, 11 rebounds), "Khazri" (Jeremy McLaughlin - 17 points, 4 rebounds) Among those who watched the second game of the day were Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov and his deputy Mariana Vasileva. Executive director of "Neftchi" football club Farrukh Mahmudov, president of "Sumgait" club Riad Rafiyev were also present. "Neftchi", which started the match better, won a 90-73 victory over the host. The most productive basketball players: "Sumgait" (Smith Roderick - 22 points, 9 rebounds), "Neftchi" (Kamran Mammadov - 21 points, 4 assists)

  It should be noted that the next games of the 4th round ("Ganja" - "Khirdalan", "Sheki" - "Jalilabad", "Sabah" - "Sarhadchi") will take place on November 18 and 19

Considering all results, securing a spot among the top 12 teams in division B is a notable achievement for women’s basketball in our country.
