The opponents of our women's 3x3 team in the "Paris-2024" Olympic qualification groups have been determined.

  The opponents in the group of our women's national team in 3x3 basketball to participate in the "Paris-2024" Olympic Games, which will take place on April 12-14, have been announced. In the first qualifying games, in which 8 teams participated, our team will face the Netherlands, Mongolia and Chile teams in Group B. In the group games to be held in Hong Kong, the top two teams in the groups will qualify for the semi-finals of the qualification stage. Then, the winning teams in the semi-finals will qualify for the final, and the team that won the final will qualify for the Olympics. The second qualification games will take place in Debrecen, Hungary on May 16-19. Our national team, which is in group A, will face the teams of Germany, Poland and Tunisia. It should be noted that in the second qualifying round, in which 16 teams participated, the teams that took the first two places in the groups will qualify for the 1/4 finals. Different from the first qualifying round, in the second qualifying round the teams that finished the qualifying tournament in the first 3 places will qualify for the Olympics. For your information, if our national team becomes the champion in the first qualifying games between 8 teams, it will secure a qualification for the Olympics and will no longer participate in the second qualifying games

 The 18th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) took place from March 13 to 16. In the opening game of the round, "Quba" secured a 95-84 victory on the road against "Lankaran." The next match in Group B was held in Sumgait, where the home team suffered a 96-104 defeat against "Sheki." The central game in Group B featured a showdown between "Ganja" and "Ordu." "Ganja" emerged victorious with an 84-74 scoreline. In Group A, "Sabah" claimed an easy 99-64 win over "Absheron." President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation Emin Amrullayev received his Latvian counterpart

 On March 12, the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), Emin Amrullayev, together with the Federation's Vice President, Farrukh Mahmudov, met with the President of the Latvian Basketball Association, Raimonds Vējonis, and other representatives who were on a business visit to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the exchange of experience in basketball between the two countries and future plans were discussed. Raimonds Vējonis got acquainted with the Federation's large-scale plans for the development of youth basketball and highly appreciated these efforts. Additionally, the systematic development of 3x3 basketball between the two countries was one of the key topics of discussion. It should be noted that at the end of the meeting, both parties exchanged symbolic national gifts and took commemorative photos.
