The final seminar for referees before the new season was organized by the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation
On September 21-22, the next seminar for our local referees was held at the Zugulba educational sports base under the organization of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF). The opening of the seminar led by the chairman of the judges' committee Alakbar Hasanov started after the instructions given by the sports director of ABF Turgay Zeytingöz regarding the new season. In the seminar attended by 18 local referees, the new pre-season preparations of our referees were tested with both theoretical and practical tests. In addition, in this FIBA-approved seminar, experts from the international basketball organization explained to local referees the application of the new rules in games with a video image. The main goal of the seminar is to explain theoretically and practically the new rules applied before the new season to referees and increase their knowledge and skills to referee in the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) and other local competitions

"Sabah" basketball club is the champion of Azerbaijan for the fourth time in a row !
On May 5, the third game of the final series between "Sabah" and "Absheron Lions" was held in the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL). Although the game, which took place at the Baku Sports Palace, continued in an even contest, "Sabah" took the lead in the last period of the match and finally won with a score of 108:95. Thus, "Sabah" won its fourth consecutive championship in the club's history, making the total score 3:0 in the super series. The "Sabah" club started the game at the Baku Sports Palace with a lead and, maintaining this advantage until the end, won with a score of 112:84. After this victory, the total score in the super series was 2:0.
It should be noted that the third game of the final series will take place on May 5 at 19:00. According to the regulations, the club that wins three wins in the final series the fastest will be the champion of the 2025/26 season in the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL).

On April 29, the first game of the final series between "Sabah" and "Absheron Lions" was held in the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL). The "Absheron Lions" club started the game at the Baku Sports Palace with a dominant start and took a 12-point lead. "Sabah" basketball players, who managed to come back from the 3rd period of the game, eventually won 98:93, making the total score in the super series 1:0.
It should be noted that the second game of the final series will take place on May 2 at 14:00. According to the regulations, the club that wins three victories in the final series the fastest will be the champion of the 2025/26 season in the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL).
