"Sabah", "Nakhchivan" and "Neftchi" clubs secure direct playoffs
On March 17, 18, and 19, the matches of the 19th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) took place. In the opening game of the round, "Sumgait" defeated "Guba" 112-103 on home court. In another match of Group B, "Ordu" secured an 87-65 victory over "Lankaran." The central and decisive game of this group was played between "Shaki" and "Ganja." After going into overtime, "Shaki" claimed a 91-87 victory, becoming the sole leader of Group B. In Group A, "Nakhchivan" suffered a 58-60 defeat against "Absheron." The 19th round concluded with the matches held at the "Sarhadchi" Sports Center: NTD lost to "Sabah" (79-105), while "Sarhadchi" fell to "Neftchi" (70-84). After 19 rounds, "Sabah" leads Group A, followed by "Nakhchivan" in second place and "Neftchi" in third. In Group B, "Shaki" holds the top position, with "Ganja" in second and "Ordu" in third. Notably, in Group A, "Sabah", "Nakhchivan" and "Neftchi" have secured direct for the playoffs. In Group B, the team that will earn a direct playoff will be determined after the final round.

At the Sheki Olympic Sports Complex, the local "Sheki" basketball team defeated "Ganja" 85-83 in the decisive game of their playoff series, becoming the next team to reach the semifinals. In the return game of the playoff series, "Absheron" defeated "Nakhchivan" 85-79 and tied the series overall.
