Two more games of the 5th round were held in the Azerbaijan Basketball League
On November 12, two more games took place within the framework of the 5th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League at the "Sarhadchi" Sports Center. In the first match of the day, the undefeated team of the championship met with "NTD BK" and "Sabah BK" basketball players. The "Sabah BK" team, which took advantage of the first part of the match, eventually won a 70-77 victory over its opponent. The most productive basketball players: "NTD BK" (Stanford William - 25 points, 8 rebounds), "Sabah BK" (Udun Osaku - 22 points, 9 rebounds). The second game of the day was played between "Olympic Sheki BK" and "Zirve Astara BK" teams. At the end of the game, which lasted until the last ball, "Olympic Sheki BK" basketball players won against their opponent with a score of 95-92. The most productive basketball players: "Olympic Shaki BK" (Delvin Hough - 37 points, 4 assists), "Zirve Astara BK" (Rasshard Kruikshank - 21 points, 3 assists).
It should be noted that the closing game of the tour will be held on November 14 at 19:00 between "Sarhadchi PIK" and "AAAF Khyrdalan BK".

The Azerbaijan national team has kicked off its EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualifying campaign
Our men’s national basketball team has played two games in the pre-qualifying stage of the EuroBasket 2029, which will be held in 2029. Our first match in Group A took place away against North Macedonia — considered the strongest team in the group. The home side won the game with a score of 87–49. Our second group match was against Luxembourg. Although our team came close to a comeback in the final period, the game ended 95–90 in favor of the opponent.
It should be noted that the next group matches for the Azerbaijan national team will take place on February 27, 2026, away against Ireland, and on March 2, at home, against North Macedonia.
