The 5th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League has ended




On November 14, the 5th round of Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) was concluded with the match between "Sarhadchi PIK" and "AAAF Khyrdalan BK" teams in the sports hall of "Sarhadchi" Sports Center. At the end of the fight that lasted until the last ball, Khyrdalan basketball players were happy with the victory with a score of 82-83. The most productive basketball players of the match: "Sarhadchi PIK" (Brandon Miller - 24 points, 11 rebounds), "AAAF Khirdalan BK" (Andrew Corum - 26 points, 17 rebounds).
It should be noted that the games of the 6th round will be held on November 16, 19 and 20 at the "Sarhadchi" Sports Center.

After 19 rounds, "Sabah" leads Group A, followed by "Nakhchivan" in second place and "Neftchi" in third. In Group B, "Shaki" holds the top position, with "Ganja" in second and "Ordu" in third. Notably, in Group A, "Sabah", "Nakhchivan" and "Neftchi" have secured direct for the playoffs. In Group B, the team that will earn a direct playoff will be determined after the final round.

The next match in Group B was held in Sumgait, where the home team suffered a 96-104 defeat against "Sheki." The central game in Group B featured a showdown between "Ganja" and "Ordu." "Ganja" emerged victorious with an 84-74 scoreline. In Group A, "Sabah" claimed an easy 99-64 win over "Absheron." Meanwhile, at the "Serhedchi" Sports Center, "Nakhchivan" secured a hard-fought 68-66 victory against "Serhedchi." In the closing match of the round, "Neftchi" proved stronger than NTD, winning 76-64. President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation Emin Amrullayev received his Latvian counterpart
On March 12, the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), Emin Amrullayev, together with the Federation's Vice President, Farrukh Mahmudov, met with the President of the Latvian Basketball Association, Raimonds Vējonis, and other representatives who were on a business visit to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the exchange of experience in basketball between the two countries and future plans were discussed. Raimonds Vējonis got acquainted with the Federation's large-scale plans for the development of youth basketball and highly appreciated these efforts. Additionally, the systematic development of 3x3 basketball between the two countries was one of the key topics of discussion. It should be noted that at the end of the meeting, both parties exchanged symbolic national gifts and took commemorative photos.
