Azerbaijan Basketball League has started
On October 12, the opening game of the 28th Azerbaijan basketball championship (ABL) took place in the sports hall of "Sarhadchi" Sports Olympic Center. Azerbaijan Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov, National Olympic Committee Vice President Chingiz Huseynzade, Azerbaijan Basketball Federation President Emin Amrullayev and State Border Service Deputy Chief Lieutenant General Abbas Khalilov were among those watching the opening match. "Sarhadchi PIK" and "NTD BK" teams met in the opening game. "NTD BK" basketball players actively started the game. This superiority of theirs continued until the end of the game, and the "NTD BK" team defeated their opponent with a score of 71-77 and started the championship with a victory.
It should be noted that other matches of the first round will be played on October 15 at the "Sarhadchi" Sports Olympic Center.

At the Baku Sports Palace, the return game between the capital club "Neftchi" and "Ordu" ended with a comfortable 88-54 win for "Neftchi". They won the series 2-0 and booked their place in the semifinals. At the Sheki Olympic Sports Complex, the local "Sheki" basketball team defeated "Ganja" 85-83 in the decisive game of their playoff series, becoming the next team to reach the semifinals. In the return game of the playoff series, "Absheron" defeated "Nakhchivan" 85-79 and tied the series overall.
