The "Astara" stage of the World Women's Series took place
On May 20-21, the games of the "Astara" stage of the World Women's Series took place. The teams that took two places in the groups qualified for the 1/4 final stage. In the first 1/4 final game, the Ukrainian selection won against the Polish team with a score of 16-13. Our club representative "Neftchi" lost to the strong Chinese national team in the 1/4 final game with a score of 21-6. In the other 1/4 final games, Austria beat Hungary with a score of 14-8, and the team of Egypt beat the Chinese club "Yuanda" with a score of 21-13. Semi-final games: Ukraine - China (17-19), Austria - Egypt (14-21). The champion of the "Astara" stage in the Women's World Series was the Chinese qualifying team, which defeated the Egyptian national team 21-15 in the final.

The second quarter of the ABL has started: the leaders of groups "A" and "B" have completed the 6th round without a loss
On november 6–9, the second round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) began with the matches of the 6th round. The following results were recorded in the matches held in Groups "A" and "B":

"Neftchi" - "Sabah" (96:103)
"Sheki" - "Absheron Lions" (79:104)
Group B
"Lankaran" - "Sumgait" (94:98)
"Guba" - "Sarhadchi" (82:86)

The clubs "Sabah" and "Ordu", which continue their campaign without any losses in the 6th round as well, have achieved maximum results and currently lead Group "A" and Group "B", respectively.

FIBA Europe Cup Azerbaijani Derby: “Neftçi” Defeats “Absheron Lions”
On October 29, an Azerbaijani derby took place in Group I of the FIBA Europe Cup. The match between “Absheron Lions” and “Neftchi” was held at the Baku Sports Palace and featured an intense battle on the court. At the end of the game, “Neftçi” claimed a convincing 104–86 victory over their opponents. With this result, “Neftçi” secured their second win in the group stage and moved up to second place in the standings. “Abşeron Lions,” meanwhile, remain at the bottom of the group table. It should be noted that the next encounter between the two Azerbaijani representatives is scheduled for November 19.
