A bridge of brotherhood between Azerbaijan and Turkey is being built on the basketball court !
Today, the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), Emin Amrullayev, along with federation officials, held an official meeting with Mirkan Aydın, President of one of Turkey’s prominent women's basketball clubs, Nesibe Aydın, and representatives of the club. The main topic of discussion was the development of women's basketball between the two countries, including potential joint projects and mutual exchange of experience. Both sides evaluated opportunities for organizing joint tournaments and training programs for female basketball players across various age categories in the future. During the meeting, ABF President Emin Amrullayev emphasized the benefits of drawing from Turkey's experience in the region and praised the success of Nesibe Aydın Club in women’s basketball. In response, Mirkan Aydın acknowledged the progress made in Azerbaijani basketball in recent years and expressed confidence in the positive outcomes of future cooperation.

"Ordu" club formalizes the championship in "B" group
Matches of the 17th round of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) were held on February 11–14. The following results were recorded in Groups A and B.

NTD – “Sabah” 87:103
Group B
“Lankaran” – “Sarhadchi” 69:83
“Sumgait” – “Nakhchivan” 107:110

It should be noted that after 17 rounds, “Sabah” are the sole leaders of Group A, while “Ordu” lead Group B. With three rounds remaining until the end of the regular season, the military side have officially secured the Group B championship title.
