A historical first is happening in Azerbaijan women's basketball
Starting from March 15, the local championship with playoffs will start for the first time in the history of Azerbaijan women's basketball. 6 teams (AzStars, Alov, Neftchi, Khirdalan, Ganja, Garadag) will compete for the championship in the two-round basketball championship to be held under the name of the Azerbaijan Women's League (AQL). According to the regulations, the clubs that occupy the first four positions at the end of the regular season will clarify the name of the champion in the final four.
