1/8 final stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball Cup (2025) has been completed
On January 29, the last games of the 1/8 final stage of the Azerbaijan Basketball Cup took place. In the first game of the day, "Ganja" won an easy victory over "Ordu" with a score of 81-62 in front of the local audience and became the opponent of "Sarhadchi" club in the quarter finals. The last 1/8 final game of the cup was held between "Sumgayit" and "Neftchi" clubs at the Sumgayit Olympic Sports Complex. "Neftchi" won 103-90 and competed against "Sabah" in the quarter finals. It should be noted that all the matches of the 1/4 finals will be played in Baku in March

On May 14, the 6th game of the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL) final super series between "Sabah" and "Neftchi" took place. "Sabah" started strong in the match held at the Baku Sports Palace and secured an 83-78 victory over "Neftchi". With this win, "Sabah" defeated "Neftchi" with an overall series score of 4-2 and became the Azerbaijan Basketball League (ABL 2024/25) champion for the third consecutive time. The Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the ABL 2024/25 final series was Hassani Gravett from the "Sabah" team.
