"Neftchi" is the champion of the women's league
On May 29, the final and 3rd place matches of the Azerbaijan Women's League (AQL) took place in the gym of the Azerbaijan Technical University. First of all, the match between the "Garadag" and "Khirdalan" clubs for the 3rd place was started. The match ended with a difficult victory of "Khirdalan" club with a score of 51-49. "Neftchi" and "Azstars" clubs met in the final match. "Neftchi", which took advantage from the beginning of the game, was happy with a comfortable victory with a score of 93-29 in the end. The most valuable female basketball player (MVP) of the final game was chosen by Angelina Ismayilova from "Neftchi" club. With this, "Neftchi" club went down in history as the first champion of the championship held in the first play-off system.
