SUPER CUP FINAL MEETING AMONG STUDENTS
The final match of the Student League Super Cup in basketball took place in the gym of the Border Sports Complex jointly organized by the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In the final match, the student teams of the Azerbaijan State University of Oil Industry and the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports faced each other. After a tense struggle until the last ball, the students of ADBTIA won from the parquet with a score of 78-77. After the final match, Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov, President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation Emin Amrullayev and Deputy Chief of the State Border Service Lieutenant General Abbas Khalilov presented the trophy to the winning team and congratulated them on the victory.

U-18 national team's matches in the European Championship Division B have concluded.

U-18 national team won the group stage of the European Championship Division B for the first time in history.
On July 25, our U-18 national team, consisting of boys, played the second group game of the European Championship Division B held in the cities of Rijeka and Opatija, Croatia, against the Ukrainian team. Although our national team lost to the opponent in the first half of the game, they came back in the second half and won 77:68. The most valuable basketball player (MVP) of the game was our national team member Emmanuel Agbason with 20 points and 17 rebounds. This victory also went down in history as the first group victory of our U-18 national team in the European Championship Division B.
It should be noted that our team will play its next group game against the Icelandic team on July 26 at 12:30 Baku time.

U-20 national team's European tour has concluded with a historic first !
The FIBA U20 European Championship Division B has come to an end. Held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, our U20 national team, led by head coach Anar Sariyev, played its final match against the Netherlands, securing a 66–60 victory. As one of the three youngest squads among the 21 participating teams in Division B, our national team finished the championship in 11th place. This result has officially entered the record books as a historical first for Azerbaijani basketball. While finishing right in the middle of the standings might seem modest at first glance, the strength of our group and the high level of our opponents demonstrate that this is no ordinary achievement. The final standings of the teams from our group clearly prove this point. Sweden, the strongest opponent in our group, went on to win the bronze medal. Ireland successfully navigated the playoffs to finish 5th overall, while North Macedonia secured a spot in the top ten, finishing 9th. Thanks to their determined performance throughout the championship, our national team managed to outrank ten countries in the overall standings. Our players finished ahead of teams such as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Cyprus, Georgia, Denmark, Estonia, Slovakia, Armenia, Albania, and Kosovo. Securing 11th place in such a highly competitive environment represents both valuable international experience for our young athletes and a solid foundation for achieving even greater success in future tournaments.
