Basketball players of "ADBTIA" are champions of "TamGanc" Student League

  On April 23, the final game of the "TamGanc" Student Basketball League took place in the gym of Azerbaijan Technical University under the sponsorship of IBA. The final match was watched directly from the arena by Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli, Vice President of BP Azerbaijan and member of the Board of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation, Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Taleh Tahirli, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the International Bank of Azerbaijan. At the beginning of the final game between the basketball players of Azerbaijan Technical University (ATU) and Azerbaijan State Physical Education and Sports Academy (ADBTIA), the students of "ATU" gained a great advantage, but they could not maintain this advantage until the end, and "ADBTIA" - In the end, the basketball players won 82-77 and became the champions of "TamGanc" Student Basketball League. "ADBTIA" member Shirzad Shirzadov was selected as the most valuable basketball player of the final. In the game for the 3rd place, the team of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASU) won the bronze awards of the league, winning 77-68 over the team of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (ADIU)

 On March 12, the President of the Azerbaijan Basketball Federation (ABF), Emin Amrullayev, together with the Federation's Vice President, Farrukh Mahmudov, met with the President of the Latvian Basketball Association, Raimonds Vējonis, and other representatives who were on a business visit to Azerbaijan. During the meeting, the exchange of experience in basketball between the two countries and future plans were discussed. Raimonds Vējonis got acquainted with the Federation's large-scale plans for the development of youth basketball and highly appreciated these efforts. Additionally, the systematic development of 3x3 basketball between the two countries was one of the key topics of discussion.
